The highlight of the celebrations was undoubtedly when Brian Scanlon bravely tackled the dishwasher, emptying it for the very first time in his life. History was made before our very eyes!

Emboldened by this success, Brian then attempted to take charge of the bread knife, but it was swiftly and kindly relieved from his grasp for the safety of both Brian and the delicious baked goods lovingly supplied by Rattana.

Rattana also treated us to a delightful singalong during the break, accompanied by a few tunes on her ukulele, which had everyone in great spirits.

In all the excitement, Brian got so carried away he even managed to break a cup. Whether it was party fever or an overindulgence in cake remains under investigation!

All in all, it was a lovely day with plenty of laughs and a game of bowls, of course!

Now we look forward with great anticipation to International Men’s Day on the 18th of November… who knows what heroic household achievements might be witnessed then!
