A Little Too Icy Underfoot

The laneway leading down to the lawn remains hazardous, and despite our best hopes, the green itself is still far better suited to ice sports than bowls.
Looking promising… if you wanted to practice your ice skating!
Ice-cold conditions - more winter sports than bowls!
Green itself could host a curling championship!
No change here - still perfectly suited to penguin training!
Three images from this morning’s pitch inspection are included below, along with an updated image taken at 12:06pm, which confirms there has been no improvement in conditions.
While there were some excellent alternative sporting suggestions from members including:
- Ice skating at reduced rates
- Curling trials
- Sharpening the blades (though apparently the surrounding roads are even worse!)
for safety reasons, it would be unwise to proceed with play today.
