Despite the cold, and one or two passing wintry showers, bowling went ahead for the brave (or slightly mad!) members who turned up. Scoring was low across the rinks, showing just how evenly matched the teams were.

The eventual winners seized control at half time, racking up an impressive 10 points on the first powerplay. Paul’s usual “smash and grab” approach turned into a bit more of a “smash and give” on this occasion! He almost redeemed himself, though, when his final bowl, a toucher, nearly stole the win. A nail-biting finish to a great day’s bowling.
