At a sun-drenched Cleveragh, 18 players took to the green, each determined to claim the coveted golden spoon. With the weather playing its part and spirits running high, the competition was fierce from the first end to the last.

Scoring was impressive across the board, but it was Frank, Charlie M., and Oliver who ultimately stole the show, racking up an outstanding 31 points. It was golden spoon territory for the second week running — although not a second consecutive win for this particular trio, who seized their opportunity with style.

Hot on their heels were John N. and Michael G., who put in a resilient performance to finish in second place with a very respectable score of 28. Their consistency and determination kept the pressure on the leaders throughout the day.

At the close of play, the golden spoons were presented by Plunkett Doherty, adding an extra touch of occasion to the afternoon’s celebrations.

All in all, it was a fantastic afternoon of bowls, laughter, and friendly rivalry under the glorious Cleveragh sun — with plenty already looking forward to next week's spoons.
